Poster illustration for GTA 6 map — Leonida and six regions
Original artwork made for this page. Not a screenshot, and not a Rockstar image.
Pre-release. Based on official materials from Rockstar Games (trailers and rockstargames.com/VI). This page will be updated after Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026. Anything not named by Rockstar is either omitted or marked as unverified.

Rockstar has named the state Leonida and six destinations inside it: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga. Those names are on the official Only in Leonida tour and on the product page at rockstargames.com/VI. Rockstar has not published a playable map, a street directory, in-game coordinates, or a square-mileage figure.

Places Rockstar has named

7 destinations in the state of Leonida appear in official Rockstar copy. Everything else on a fan map is a guess.

Source: Only in Leonida

If a thumbnail promises “the full GTA 6 map,” it is a fan reconstruction, a leak, or both. This page is the named-place list. After 19 November 2026 it should be rewritten against the real world. Until then, the stylized map on this site is original artwork, not a radar dump.

The state, in Rockstar’s own sentence

Official story copy on the product page:

Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

The 6 November 2025 Newswire also calls this a return to modern-day Vice City. The Only in Leonida page frames the state as “home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond” and invites you to “tour a few of the must-see destinations across the sunshine state.” “Sunshine state” is Florida satire. Leonida is not a licensed map of Florida, and treating every real I-95 exit as an in-game road is fan cartography.

Lucia’s official bio also names the Leonida Penitentiary and Liberty City (her mother’s earlier home). The penitentiary is a named facility, not a pin. Rockstar has not said which region it sits in. Liberty City is prior history, not a playable city in this game as announced.

The people attached to these places are in Jason and Lucia.

The six named destinations

These are the only regions we treat as confirmed. Everything in the right-hand column is what official pages establish, not what a YouTuber paused on. Vice City has its own article. The other five are named destinations with almost no official paragraph; the facts that exist sit under each heading.

PlaceWhat official pages establish
Vice CityUrban core. Product-page copy: “Vice City, USA. The darkest side of the sunniest place in America.” Only in Leonida: “neon-soaked streets.” Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, and Real Dimez are written as Vice City figures.
Leonida KeysNamed destination. Jason Duval’s bio places him “in the Keys” working for local drug runners after the Army. Brian Heder’s bio is the Keys smuggler with a boat yard.
GrassriversNamed destination on the official tour. No official size, border, or interior landmarks.
Port GellhornNamed destination on the official tour. Raul Bautista’s bio sits next to the Explore button; that is marketing adjacency, not a hometown. No official docks plan.
AmbrosiaNamed destination on the official tour. Brian Heder’s bio sits next to the Explore button; his written setting is the Keys.
Mount KalagaNamed destination on the official tour. Ultimate copy mentions “backwoods of Mount Kalaga.” Dazed describes wilderness / national park. No trail map.

Cal Hampton is “at the low tide of America,” snooping on Coast Guard comms — Keys-adjacent in tone, not given a town name. Do not turn a vibe into a pin.

The tour order, as the page presents destinations, runs Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga. That is a marketing sequence, not a north-to-south drive.

Leonida Keys

Leonida Keys is the only region whose written character bios actually place people in the Keys, rather than next to an “Explore” button. Jason Duval “found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners.” Brian Heder is “a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys,” still moving product through a boat yard with his third wife, Lori. Rockstar has not published a chain of named keys, a bridge count, a marina directory, or a statement that the Keys are a fully island-hoppable archipelago.

The tour button “Explore Leonida Keys” sits next to Dre'Quan Priest, whose bio is Vice City music and Boobie’s club. That is marketing adjacency. Dre'Quan is not a Keys fisherman.

Brian Heder. Tagline: “Nothing better than a Mudslide at sunset.” Third wife Lori. Jason stops by for sangria. Line: “I hauled so much grass in that plane, I could make the state of Leonida levitate.” Gloss: “Looks like a Leonida beach bum — moves like a great white shark.” The boat yard is named as a workplace. It is not given a slip number. On 14 September 2026, actor Stephen Root told AP News that he plays Brian Heder, as reported by GameRant. The actor confirmed it in an interview; Rockstar has not published a cast list.

Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend and a fellow associate of Brian’s. He “feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open.” He is not given a town.

Lucia Caminos is not a Keys bio. Prison, a plan, Liberty City in the past, Vice City in the plot paragraph. The couple’s story stretches “across the state of Leonida.” The Keys are Jason’s present tense.

Ultimate Edition marketing (Take-Two / Rockstar, 24 June 2026) names Ocean Beach, Shore Drive, Washington Beach, Gambit Bay, Watson Bay, and Lake Leonida in item blurbs. Those strings are official copy attached to vehicles, garages, and a boat. They are not labelled as Leonida Keys on Only in Leonida. Support (18 August 2026) lists “Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles”; Take-Two’s 24 June 2026 pre-order copy, as carried by Gematsu from the official materials, describes an Army-fatigue Dinka Enduro motorcycle or a Crest Kayak. That is edition marketing, not a street address. It does not say the safehouse is Brian’s property.

Grassrivers

Grassrivers is a named destination on the Only in Leonida tour. That is the whole product-page fact. There is no official size, border, interior landmark list, or sentence that says “Grassrivers is the Everglades analogue.” The name is wet. Fans filled the rest.

The “Explore Grassrivers” button sits next to Real Dimez (Bae-Luxe and Roxy). Their official bio is high-school friends, social-media rap, an early hit with DWNPLY, now signed to Only Raw Records. That is a Vice City music plot. It is not a wetland address.

Rockstar has not written that Grassrivers is larger than Vice City, a national park, the place you hunt, the place you airboat, or the place you dump a body. Those are genre memories from other games and from Florida postcards. They are not published facts.

An Extended Look (27 August 2026) is the video people point at. Outlets (IGN, Eurogamer, Engadget) reported kayaks, fan boats, jet skis, scuba, fishing. Those activities appeared in a 26-minute in-game PlayStation 5 montage. A montage can show a swamp without labelling it Grassrivers. Until Rockstar prints the label on a map or a Support article, “fan boats = Grassrivers confirmed” is a viewer read. Dazed (August 2026) describes the wilderness of Mount Kalaga as contrast with Vice City. Mount Kalaga got the wilderness sentence. Grassrivers did not.

Lucia’s Leonida Penitentiary is named in her bio and unlocated. Do not drop it in Grassrivers because prisons in crime stories sit in swamps in other movies.

Kayaks are named in Ultimate’s Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles copy (Take-Two / Rockstar, 24 June 2026). That does not say the kayak spawns in Grassrivers. Ultimate copy also names the backwoods of Mount Kalaga for a ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, Lake Leonida for a mod shop, Gambit Bay and Washington Beach for a Shitzu Squalo. None of those strings say Grassrivers.

Port Gellhorn

Port Gellhorn is a named destination on the Only in Leonida tour. The name is a port. The official pages do not add a harbor map, a shipping line, a container-yard list, or a mayor. Raul Bautista’s bio sits next to the “Explore Port Gellhorn” button. His written job is bank robbery. He is not given a hometown.

Raul’s page, in Rockstar’s words: “Confidence, charm, and cunning — Raul’s a seasoned bank robber always on the hunt for talent ready to take the risks that bring the biggest rewards.” “Raul’s recklessness raises the stakes with every score. Sooner or later, his crew will have to double down or pull their chips from the table.” Tagline: “Experience counts.” Lines: “Life is full of surprises, my friend. I think we’d all be wise to remember that.” And: “A professional adapts.” That is a heist-man paragraph. It does not name a port.

Rockstar has not said “Gulf.” It has not said “panhandle.” It has not compared Gellhorn to Tampa, Port Charlotte, or anywhere else. “Port” is the entire civic claim. Fan maps almost always drop Port Gellhorn on the west. Our stylized map does the same, as a layout choice on an original drawing, not as a radar dump.

Engadget and others described a chase involving Jason, Lucia, and a contact in the car. Whether that contact is Raul is a viewer read unless Rockstar names the shot. A crane in a montage is not Port Gellhorn. The official plot paragraph still opens in Vice City, USA. Port Gellhorn is one named stop on that state. It is not announced as the score.

Ultimate Edition marketing names Southside Vice City (PTT Youngin$ compound), Stockyard, Washington Beach, Gambit Bay, Watson Bay, Ocean Beach, Shore Drive, Lake Leonida, and the backwoods of Mount Kalaga. None of those strings say Port Gellhorn. Do not file “Lake Leonida” under this heading because lakes sit near ports in other states.

Ambrosia

Ambrosia is a named destination on the Only in Leonida tour. The official pages do not describe it. There is no official industry list, downtown paragraph, or “heartland of Leonida” slogan on the product site. Brian Heder’s bio sits next to the “Explore Ambrosia” button. His written setting is the Keys.

Interior landmarks, factories, orange groves, a lake town—Not published on the destination page

The plane sentence is the one people hang an inland airstrip on. A boast about hauling grass in a plane is not a hangar directory in Ambrosia. It is a character line. Keep it in the Keys unless Rockstar relocates him.

“Ambrosia” is a mythological food-of-the-gods word and, in Florida-shaped satire, a ripe name for inland sweetness: groves, bottled water, a town that sells paradise in a jug. That is etymology and vibe. It is not a crop report. Fans map it to interior Florida — lake country, phosphate, cattle, a highway town between the coasts — because that is the hole left when you already placed a Miami analogue, Keys, wetlands, a Gulf port, and a northern park. Our stylized map puts Ambrosia inland for that reason. Those positions are layout choices on an original drawing. They are not in-game coordinates.

Ultimate Edition marketing names Lake Leonida as the site of One-Eyed Willie’s mod shop, specializing in off-road modifications. “Lake Leonida” is an official string. It is not labelled Ambrosia. Do not merge the lake and this destination because inland water is thematically convenient. The same materials name the backwoods of Mount Kalaga for a ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, Watson Bay / Paradise Garage, Stockyard, beaches, and Southside Vice City. None of those strings are Ambrosia.

Dazed (August 2026) describes Little Cuba and Mount Kalaga wilderness as contrast inside the state. Those interview names are not this pin. Vice City has the dense people. Ambrosia has a word.

Mount Kalaga

Mount Kalaga is a named destination on the Only in Leonida tour. It is the only one of the six without an extra character bio parked beside the Explore button. The product pages do not give a peak list, a trail map, or an elevation. Two other official-adjacent sources add texture, and they need labels.

Take-Two / Rockstar’s Ultimate Edition copy (24 June 2026) describes the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy as offering “impressive off-road handling for the backwoods of Mount Kalaga and beyond.” Dazed (August 2026), in a package with Rockstar’s art and narrative leads, describes “the wilderness of Mount Kalaga national park” as contrast with Vice City. The first is store copy. The second is interview/editorial. Neither is a Support article with a boundary line.

Florida’s real northern highlands are not mountains in a Rockies sense. A named “Mount” in a Florida satire can still be a ridge, a state park, a tourist overlook, or a joke. Rockstar has not picked which. “Backwoods” in the buggy blurb is the only terrain adjective on a store-adjacent page.

The tour parks people next to landscapes. Vice City gets Boobie. Keys button gets Dre'Quan (whose bio is not the Keys). Grassrivers button gets Real Dimez. Port Gellhorn button gets Raul. Ambrosia button gets Brian (whose bio is the Keys). Mount Kalaga gets the view. That absence is information. The named cast is Keys smuggling, Vice City music, and a professional robber. Wilderness is scenery in the marketing, not a billed subplot.

The Dominator Buggy blurb, from the 24 June 2026 materials: a Mud Club monster offering impressive off-road handling for the backwoods of Mount Kalaga and beyond. Conveniently store it at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, which features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced. Watson Bay is not captioned as Mount Kalaga. The garage is a storage sentence. The backwoods are a handling sentence. One-Eyed Willie’s is a mod shop in Lake Leonida specializing in off-road modifications. Lake Leonida is its own string. It is not a peak. Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles include a Crest Kayak in the same Ultimate packet. A kayak is water. Do not put the kayak on a mountain because Ultimate is a bundle.

Stylist Jillian Carr in Dazed: “Vice City is built around vanity.” The contrast is the point of the sentence. It is still magazine language, not an in-game map legend. The same package names Stockyard (Wynwood analogue, 50+ street artists) and Little Cuba. Those are Vice City-side interview names. They do not migrate north because “contrast.” Outlets reported base jumping / parachuting from An Extended Look. A cliff in a montage is not a named summit. Hunting lists, animal catalogs, and “you can hunt like RDR2” are fan imports until Rockstar writes them down.

What “Florida-inspired” does and does not license

Leonida is a fictional US state. Vice City has been Rockstar’s Miami satire since 2002. The Keys, wetlands, a gulf-coast working town, inland industry, and northern uplands are the shape of a Florida analogue, which is why our illustration puts Vice City in the south-east, the Keys south of that, Grassrivers in the south-west, Port Gellhorn on a western coast, Ambrosia inland, and Mount Kalaga on the northern edge.

Those positions are layout choices on an original drawing. They are not in-game coordinates. If Rockstar’s real map puts the mountain range somewhere else, our picture is wrong in the way every pre-release diagram of a hidden world is wrong. The names will still be the names.

Map-size numbers: unconfirmed

After An Extended Look landed on 27 August 2026, outlets circulated journalist-attributed comments about area — “2× Los Santos,” “3× RDR2,” and similar. Those figures are not on rockstargames.com. They are not in the Newswire. They are not a numbered spec.

Treat every square-mile claim as unconfirmed until Rockstar prints one. Trailer density is also not a measurement. A 26-minute montage can show a lot of biomes without telling you how many minutes it takes to drive between them.

Fan “full maps” compiled from the 2022 development leak, from the August 2026 “CyberLeek” clips, or from freeze-frames of the Extended Look are not sources we will use. Rockstar called recent leaks “heartbreaking” and said spoilers may affect the intended experience (statement reported 26 August 2026). Unauthorized radar images are not a geography lesson. Take-Two has also issued DMCA notices against leaked map material.

If you need a rule: a name on Only in Leonida is in. A grid from a Reddit post is out. A button next to a character is not a hometown.

What the trailers are allowed to add

Trailer 1 (5 December 2023), Trailer 2 (6 May 2025), and An Extended Look (27 August 2026) are official video. They show Vice City neon, water, highways, weather, interiors, and wildlife. A montage is not a gazetteer. Listing every shop sign someone paused on, and calling the list “confirmed POIs,” is how pre-release wikis fill with junk.

Rob Nelson’s interviews (Dazed, August 2026, and others) talk about phones, food, sleep, and exercise affecting the body. That is a systems conversation, not a map one. Kayaks and fanboats reported from the Extended Look are journalist readings of footage. They are plausible in wetland country. They are not a Rockstar sentence that says “Grassrivers is navigable on a fanboat in these named channels.”

How to use the map on this site

The Leonida map on joyride.games is a stylized SVG with six pins. Each pin is sourced to Only in Leonida and marked as confirmed-from-official-pages. It will look sparse, because the official list is sparse. That is the point.

After launch, the pins should be rebuilt against the real in-game world. Until 19 November 2026, adding counties, police stations, or airport codes would be fan fiction with better typography. The rest of the confirmed-versus-rumor split sits in everything we know.
