Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information involved in visiting joyride.games. It is written for a static site. It is not a promise we have not made.
joyride.games is operated by two people under Margats. The site is static HTML hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not run user accounts, logins, comment systems, or a first-party analytics product on this site today.
Who we are
Controller for any personal data we actually receive: the operators of joyride.games. Contact: hello@joyride.games.
TODO(owner): Confirm the legal entity name and postal address that should appear here before submitting AdSense. Do not invent a company registration you have not verified.
What we collect
We do not operate accounts. There is no sign-up, no password, and no profile store on this site.
Email via mailto. The “notify me” control on the studio landing page opens your own mail client addressed to hello@joyride.games. We only receive an address if you send that message. We use it to reply, and to send the one launch note you asked for. We do not sell it.
Hosting logs. Cloudflare, as the host and CDN, may process IP addresses, user-agent strings, and request metadata to deliver the site and to absorb abuse. We do not currently export a private analytics dataset from those logs.
Analytics (off until a token is set). Pages load analytics.js. While both identifiers in that file are empty, the script does not contact Cloudflare or Google. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is later enabled, Cloudflare’s cookieless beacon measures page views and Core Web Vitals; it does not set a first-party advertising cookie. If Google Analytics 4 is later enabled, that product does set cookies and needs a consent banner for EU/UK visitors before it is switched on.
TODO(owner): Before pasting a Cloudflare Web Analytics token or a GA4 measurement id into analytics.js, name the product here, say whether it sets cookies, and keep this paragraph true. Do not claim “we do not use cookies” once GA4 or AdSense is live.
Advertising and cookies
The guides section is built with reserved advertisement slots. Those slots stay empty until a Google AdSense publisher id is added to ads.js. Until that happens, this site does not load AdSense, and we do not set advertising cookies ourselves.
If AdSense is approved and switched on, Google will act as an independent controller for ads personalization on pages that include ad slots. That typically involves cookies or advertising identifiers, and may include approximate location derived from IP. Google’s own policies apply to that processing. The studio landing page is not intended to carry ad slots.
TODO(owner): After AdSense approval, add the official Google-provided privacy language (or a CMP / consent banner if you serve the EU/UK) and link Google’s ad settings. Do not claim “we do not use cookies” once ads are live.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you can ask us for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data we hold — in practice, that is an email you sent us. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you can request to know or delete personal information we have about you, and you can direct us not to sell or share it. We do not sell mailing-list addresses. Once third-party ads are on, “sale/share” of identifiers may be performed by the ad network, not by a joyride.games storefront.

Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the site after that date is the notice we can give on a static host.
